About Anastasia

The presence within Femina Potnia

Anastasia created Femina Potnia and holds its ritual circles.

She holds a PhD in English and has taught and published on feminist, psychoanalytic and postcolonial thought. Her academic work informs her engagement with myth, culture and the feminine, bringing intellectual rigor to the embodied work of Femina Potnia.

Alongside her academic work, she has trained in physical theatre, movement, improvisation and ancient Greek movement and ritual practices.

Her work centers on the body as a place of memory and knowledge, where experience is felt and emotion and meaning take form through direct encounter.

Within the Femina Potnia Goddess circles, she guides the ritual without prescribing its outcome, allowing each woman’s experience to unfold at its own pace.

Approach

An experiential path

The Femina Potnia ritual experience developed through small gatherings in Athens and Mykonos, where the process was shaped in practice.

Ritual provides the structure for this process.

What shapes Femina Potnia is not a theory to be explained, but a ritual that is grounded and direct.

Femina Potnia is a contained experience, guided by care and presence.

Method

The structure 0f the Femina Potnia Goddess circles

Each Goddess circle is held within a clear arc. The sequence matters. The pacing matters. The transitions matter.

That structure exists so participants do not have to negotiate the space for themselves. They can enter the process, stay with it, and allow something more real to emerge through the Goddess.

The work is not to impose an outcome. It is to maintain the conditions in which one can take place.

What guides the process

  • Clarity is kept
  • Structure holds
  • Presence remains
  • Depth, without excess

Orientation

Holding the Space

Anastasia remains present throughout.

The space is held so that the process can unfold.

What is already present begins to emerge more clearly.
